To configure WinProxy to access Internet Mail, you should first configure it with the mail servers provided by your service provider. This can be done by using the Properties Wizard (select Properties Wizard from the WinProxy File Menu) or through Advanced Properties (select Settings from the WinProxy File menu.) If your service provider has a different mail server for receiving and sending mail, you will need to use the Advanced Properties configuration.
Using the Properties Wizard, you should step through each of the settings, until you reach the Mail Setup screen. Here you should enter the mail server provided by your service provider. Press Finish, or continue through the end of the Properties Wizard. You will need to restart WinProxy when you are done.
Using Settings, you need to select the Protocols tab in the configuration. Then make sure the check-box for Mail is set, and press the Mail Setup button. Here you can enter a mail server (your service providers' SMTP server) and a POP3 server. The port numbers are set to the default, and you should not need to change them. Enter your service providers' SMTP server name/IP address (for outgoing mail) in the Mail Server IP setting, and the POP3 server name/IP address in the POP3 server (for incoming mail). If your service provider provides an IMAP 4 server, then you can configure that as well. If you do not know what IMAP 4 is, then you should not enable this setting. The Reverse SMTP proxy is only needed if you are running an internal mail server, which will receive mail through SMTP. If you are not sure, then you probably do not need this.
